Our back garden is surrounded by wooden fences but I wanted something with a story behind it. I then thought of our front garden. When we moved in it was unfenced and the deeds of the house state that we are not allowed to put a fence up. At that time there were a few little lads who liked to kick a ball around on the street and I as I wanted to grow plants I needed to protect them form stray balls. The answer was a hedge after all this is only plants and didn't contravene the no fence rule. So my photo for today is an alternative fence.
