A few weeks ago I thought that it would be a good idea to have a street party for the jubilee. We have had this house for 21 years - 9 of which we rented it out - and I know very few of the people who live up the road. I thought it would be a great way to get to know people and so volunteered to organise it. Having already done a quick survey to see if people were generally in favour of it I send out a formal letter. I am just starting to get a few replies back. To make sure that people didn't overlook the letter I used very bold paper.
