I mentioned a few days ago that we were hoping to have a picnic this morning. Well the alarm went off at 5.20am and while we pulled on our warmest clothes the food heated up in microwave and the kettle boiled for the flask. Complete with bacon, sausage and chapatis in the hot pot and a flask of hot coffee we set out for the 6am sunrise service.
I took two walking poles with me as my legs are still a bit wobbly and half an hour later a friend joined us to climb up the small hill which overlooks the town. We were surprised to find another couple already sitting under the designated tree but joined them and had a great hot breakfast in the drizzle. It wasn't the best of weather but as crazy as it was it was great fun. This photo caught Peter off guard, he wasn't really feeling that cold and miserable - honest.

The view over the town didn't really exist as there was lots and lots of fine mist.
rather you than me! Yes, we had mist this morning, it cleared but now it's a bit grey and windy. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteMist or not, what a gorgeous view !
